Educational draft · Clinical review pending. Read our review status. Treatment decisions belong with your care team.
A center that treats addiction may not admit partners together. A couples program may also use separate rooms or different treatment schedules. Ask about all three: the same location, shared rooms, and joint therapy.
Directory status: We do not yet have documented, direct verification of individual programs. Earlier draft listings have been removed. We will publish facility listings only when we can show a source, a date, and what was confirmed. A state license alone does not confirm a couples admission policy.
Find treatment near you
Start with FindTreatment.gov. SAMHSA describes it as a confidential and anonymous treatment resource for the United States and its territories. See SAMHSA’s treatment locators.
Search by location and the type of care you need. Call a center directly to ask if it can assess both partners. A directory entry does not promise an opening, insurance coverage, or a shared room.
If you need help finding options, call SAMHSA’s National Helpline at 1-800-662-4357. We do not run a referral line or sell leads.
California
Use the DHCS substance use disorder directories to check licensed or certified programs. Match the legal name and street address to the location you plan to attend.
Read our California couples rehab guide for county access lines and questions to ask.
Florida
Use Florida DCF’s licensing page to reach the state’s provider search. Check the exact site and the services on its license.

Other states
Start with FindTreatment.gov and your state’s substance use or health agency. Ask which agency licenses the proposed service. Check the exact site, service type, and current status rather than relying on a logo on a facility website.
Questions to ask admissions
- Can you assess both of us for care at the same location?
- Will we have separate care plans and private appointments?
- Are rooms separate or shared? What could change that policy?
- Who provides couples therapy, and when is it offered?
- What happens if one partner needs a different level of care or leaves early?
- What is the written cost for each person? Is each service in network?
Use our admissions checklist to track answers. Read about couples detox and costs and insurance before making travel or payment plans.
How future listings will be checked
Each listing will identify the exact facility, the source, the date checked, and the limits of the check. We will distinguish a facility’s website claims from direct written or phone confirmation. Our target is to recheck published listings every 90 days. Facilities cannot pay for inclusion.
